Guiding Royal Lions Into Their Future

College & Career Counseling

Our experienced and dedicated academic counseling team provides guidance for Rockford Christian students and families through the college and career application and selection process to assist them in finding the placement that best fits each student academically, spiritually, and socially.

RC’s College and Career Readiness (CCR) course prepares students with the skills needed to pursue their purpose and provides job shadow and internship opportunities as students explore future possibilities.

Supporting Student Success

Individualized 4-Year Academic Plan

The academic counseling office works with each student to craft a comprehensive, individualized review of the student’s academic progress in an easy-to-follow format. This plan is reviewed routinely to ensure students are on the right path to meet RC graduation requirements and to support their success beyond high school.

Rockford Christian uses Naviance Family Connection to aid students in finding college and career pathways that best align with their individual objectives and strengths. This tool is available to Upper School students and parents only and requires a user ID and password assigned by the academic counseling office.

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors are permitted three days per year for the purpose of visiting colleges of their choice. College visits include public, private, small and large schools and are integral to discovering the best fit for each student.
  • On-Campus Admissions Visits

Each semester RC hosts a variety of college admission representatives for small group meetings, as well as large group informational talks. All high school students are encouraged to visit with admissions representatives.
  • RC Alumni

Royal Lion graduates are great advocates and are our best source of college inspiration. We invite our alumni to come and share their college and post-college experiences.
