  • History in the Making

“Rockford Christian has become the first program in Illinois state history to have two 2,000-point scorers…And this latest milestone is a testament to Johnson. There has never been a team in Illinois with a pair of 2,000-point scorers on it at the same time ― until now.” “Fred VanVleet (1,754 points) didn't even reach 2,000 points, and his team, Auburn, has never had a 2,000-point scorer. Not one. Rockford Christian (20-2, 4-0 BNC) now has two.” - Jay Taft, RRSTAR. Read more here...

Christian Cummings supassed this region's highest area scorer, Lee Lampley from Rockford Boylan with 2,419 points in 1992-94 who is ranked #40 top scorer in IHSA history. Elijah Daugherty currently sits just behind Thomas Kopelman of Rockford Lutheran (former student!) who scored 2,154 from 2011-2015.
And there’s still much more basketball to come. If you haven’t made it to game yet, it’s time you do because every basket made by Christian and Elijah is history in the making!
