Robotic Lions Advance to State

Both Rockford Christian high school robotics teams had incredible performances at Saturday’s regional competition!

Of the 23 teams participating, the Royal Robots (17301) finished the seeding round in 1st place and the Robotic Lions (7715) finished 2nd. Both teams competed as an alliance and lost in the nail-biting semifinal match, posting the 3rd highest score of the competition. Overall, including the portfolio and presentation part of the competition, the Robotic Lions finished 6th and the Royal Robots finished 7th.

Congratulations to the Robotic Lions who will be moving onto the state robotics meet in 3 weeks!!! The Royal Robots still have a chance to advance as well as a wild card once the results are in following the remaining regional competitions next Saturday.

The Robotic Lions also earned the Think Award, a judged award is given to the team that best reflects the journey the team took as they experienced the engineering design process during the build season.

Congrats to all of our student engineers and to the dedicated coaches and advisors who mentor our Royal Lions!
